August is Summertime

August is here and school starts this month here in Hempfield and in many parts of the lower Susqehanna Valley. Look for a Back in School sale in late August.
Homegrown fruits and vegetables are in with abundance: Seedless watermelon, cantaloupe, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, zucchini, blackberries, peaches, green beans, onions, red beets, and potatoes are in now. Coming soon are: apples, pears and broccoli.

Most of Spring Glen salads prices are going up this week.

Milk in August will be the same price as in July, Gallon of 2% Milk $3.80. Egg Sale $1.19 for large white, prices are not expected to rise much until the holidays. Cheese is down a little bit while butter price has fallen. Breads will be offered often at Buy one Get one FREE or $1.79 each depending on varieties.

Hanover products may be diminishing while we look for other products to fill the shelves.
